IMPORTANT: Starry Night for Windows requires that you have QuickTime 3.0 or later installed. You should run the QuickTime installer (QuickTm3.exe) located on this CD-ROM before running Starry Night. To install Starry Night and QuickTime: 1. Insert the compact disk into the CD-ROM drive. 2. Click the Start button and point to Settings. 3. Click Control Panel. 4. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. The Add/Remove Programs' Properties dialog box appears. 5. Click Install. 6. Click Next. The Installer program finds the setup file for Starry Night (Setup.exe). Before installing Starry Night push the Browse button to find the setup file for installing QuickTime. 7. Select "QuickTm3.exe". 8. Click Finish. 9. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. 10.After the installation is complete, install Starry Night. 11.Repeat steps 1 to 5 to return to the Installer program. 12.Click Next. The Installer program finds the setup file for Starry Night (Setup.exe). 13.Click Finish. 14.Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. You will need a web browser to read Starry Night's manual and to use the LiveSky(tm) features of Starry Night. If you do not currently have a web browser you should install one. Netscape Navigator is located in the "Extras" folder on the Starry Night CD-ROM. Starry Night Deluxe for Windows ships with the free LiveSky(tm) plug-in for interfacing Starry Night with the vast resources of astronomy information on the world wide web.
